Feminism as a prolongation of the Marxist theory - Marxism, a crucial precursor to modern day feminism

Although Marx did not approach gender dynamics explicitly, the question of women and unremunerated domestic labor has always been a key motif in his essay, particularly vis-à-vis the commodification of women in the bourgeois sphere. The Marxist views about the significance of women are understood by studying the highlights of the communist manifesto related to the importance of reproduction, and inequalities between men and women as well as the “wage illusion”.
